Community Blood Center of the Ozarks  is rewarding donors who donate blood, plasma, and platelet during the Drive to Save Lives promotionFrom December 1st through December 31st, 2022, successful donors at all Community Blood Center of the Ozarks mobile blood drives and donor centers will automatically be entered into a weekly drawing for a chance to win a one of four one-thousand-dollar gas gift card. In addition, successful donors will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt.

The weekly gas card winners will be announced on the Ozarks Live afternoon show on KOLR-10 each week.

The 28th annual Miracle of Giving Blood Drive is also coming up December 23 and December 30 – at all CBCO donor centers throughout the region.

Successful donors will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, a “Miracle of Giving” campfire mug and a $10.00 Casey’s gas gift card. In addition, participants will also be automatically entered to win a $1000.00 gas gift card to help fuel holiday travels, courtesy of Youngblood Auto Group.

“Winter months and holidays can really take a toll on the local blood supply,” CBCO Media Relations Representative Michelle Teter said. “People get focused on the holiday activities and other charitable donations but the great thing about giving blood is that it provides the most valuable gift of all to those in need and doesn’t take away from any other charitable giving. While most of us are enjoying family get-togethers and holiday activities, take time to remember those who aren’t as fortunate and are spending the holidays in a hospital battling cancer, recovering from a trauma, or receiving a blood transfusion for an ongoing health issue by making a generous blood donation.”

Donors can give at one of four CBCO donor centers located in Springfield, Mo., Joplin, Mo., Springdale, Ark., or Bentonville, Ark. There are also opportunities to give at mobile blood drives across the Ozarks.

Appointments are strongly encouraged for this blood drive but are not necessary. Make an appointment to give at https://www.cbco.org/donate-blood/.

On behalf of local hospital patients, CBCO thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
