Soar With The Eagles In The Ozarks

We are going to soar to new heights in 2022. We plan to start the new year by celebrating our national bird! The bald eagle is arguably the most iconic wildlife species in America, and January through February is the best time of the year to observe these magnificent birds perched high in a tree or soaring above the Ozarks. The Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is the premier spot in the area for observing eagles in the wild. Beginning in early January, guests are invited to come along on eagle-watching tours that will put them in a great position to see and photograph eagles in their natural habitat. The tours occur from 9:30 – 11:30 am and are available every Thursday through Monday in January.

If you’re interested in seeing eagles up close and learning more about them, then consider checking out the Eagles of North America Program hosted in coordination with the Dickerson Park Zoo. A live bald and golden eagle are part of the educational and entertaining seminar. The program is available this Saturday, January 9th, from 1 – 2 pm and again on January 22nd at the same time.

See the eagles at Dogwood Canyon and help share one of the very best conservation stories in American history.
