When I was growing up…gulp…in the 60’s I never knew of any kid who did not eat peanuts and peanut butter and candy made with peanuts.
Now it seems there is an epidemic of kids who have peanut allergies.
I have one grandson who cannot eat peanuts. But his younger brother can eat them with no problem. Sadly my grandson is also allergic to fish…and he loves to fish.
Do you know anyone with a peanut allergy or other allergies? Why do you think we seem to have more childhood allergies these days? I know we are not doctors but I’d still like to hear your thoughts on this.
I myself seem to have developed a wheat allergy later in life. Often, when I eat something with wheat I start to sneeze. Maybe all those years as a pizza cook finally caught up with me?
