The Jasper County Health Department has announced two more deaths related to Covid-19. These deaths mark the fifth and sixth for the county. Officials say both residents were females, one was in her 60s and the second was in her 50s. Both of them were hospitalized prior to their deaths.
The Carthage Police Department have made an arrest in a Joplin shooting investigation.
Twenty-seven-year-old Tyrell Harbin is charged with assault in the first degree and armed criminal action, after investigators say he shot a woman last Saturday at 2925 East 9th Street. She was taken to Freeman Hospital in critical condition. Harbin had been at large for about a week before police were able to locate him and make the arrest.
A California Man is dead following a Thursday night crash in Jasper County multiple agencies, including the Jasper fire department and the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Thorn Road West of Jasper,
Missouri Highway Patrol says 34 year-old David Kahill failed to negotiate a curve in his Ford truck and hit a tree. Cahill died at the scene, but his passenger survived and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin
