The Jasper County Circuit Court is getting ready for the first jury trial since the pandemic began, Proceedings are set to start today, but in an unusual setting they'll be in the old Joplin Public Library because it provides more room for social distancing. Everyone will wear face shields and use hand sanitizer for safety. Last Thursday, The SEK Humane Society asked for the public's help finding the driver of a red PT Cruiser, Who might have thrown a dog out of the window as it drove by the shelter. After an investigation the Crawford County Sheriff's Office says the car was actually a passerby who was checking on the dog and that no one actually saw the dog get thrown out of a car. However authorities say the dog which has been named sunshine has been severely neglected and was dumped in the area of the shelter.
