The Jasper County Health Department has reported three new coronavirus related deaths. Two were 77 and 78 year old men who were both residents of the Carthage Health and Rehab, a long-term care facility in Carthage. The other person was a man in his 60's. This brings the total in Jasper County to four Coronavirus related deaths. The city of Pittsburg is asking people not to pay utility bills through the mail. The City says they found that's a strain on the U.S. Postal system as a result. They're encouraging customers to pay bills using the city's website, by phone or to use a drop box on the south side of City Hall. Joplin fire crews put out a fire at 1317 South Illinois. Officials say they arrived a little after 8:00 and saw smoke coming from the commercial building. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental. Officials. say crews were burning vegetation around the building and on the parking lot for maintenance, no one was injured.
